Zoom! Teeth Whitening

Take Home Teeth Whitening

For the added convenience of our patients, we can provide a kit that will enable them to undergo their teeth whitening treatments at home. We will provide our patients with a set of specially moulded, clear dental trays that are inserted over the top and bottom teeth. A cleaning solution is placed in the trays while you wear them. The trays can be worn at night or on the weekends. In seven to 10 days, you will see your teeth up to eight shades whiter.

Porcelain Veneers

Porcelain veneers use thin shells of porcelain that are fused onto the front of your teeth to restore them to their original lustre. Porcelain veneers can mask the appearance of chipped or stained teeth, while also straightening teeth that are slightly crooked or misaligned.

Porcelain veneers create a smooth, polished appearance and can be colour-matched to your other teeth. They will look natural and feel natural. Porcelain Dental Crowns

As part of our commitment to amalgam-free dentistry, Fine Dentistry Dental Studio provides high quality porcelain crowns for our Melbourne patients with severely damaged teeth. A crown is a way of rebuilding and reconstructing teeth when an insufficient amount of tooth remains to hold a filling.

Prior to the placement of a porcelain crown, Dr. Allen will remove the damaged portion of your tooth and reshape the remaining area to properly receive your new crown. A very accurate mould is taken of the reshaped tooth and sent to our Melbourne Dental Laboratory to create your custom-built crown. An adhesive is then used to securely fit your crown to your tooth.

The ceramic used for your crown is matched to your natural tooth colour. When the procedure is complete, your new porcelain crown will look and feel like a natural part of your mouth.

Dental Bridges

Fine Dentistry Dental Studio can provide you with virtually undetectable dental bridges if you are missing one or more teeth. Missing teeth can begin a general weakening of the jaw structure as teeth begin to shift and compensate for the resulting gap.

Our dental bridges are created to look as natural as possible. We use only the finest ceramic materials to create replacement teeth that look and feel like real teeth. Your dental bridge will be anchored by two invisible crowns — not a wire as is often the case in many bridge placements. When further supported by dental implants, you can trust in the strength and stability of your new dental bridge while marvelling at how well they mirror the naturalness of the rest of your teeth.

Occasionally the gum and the bone may not be thick enough in the implant area to create a good cosmetic result and a procedure called “grafting” may be necessary to give the best cosmetic appearance. A tooth coloured zirconium post and crown are then placed on to the titanium implant to give you an undetectable tooth replacement.

Amalgam-free Fillings

Traditional silver fillings can eventually corrode and leak, staining the tooth and, many times, giving the tooth an unsightly black appearance. Today, amalgam-free fillings are popular for their natural tooth like appearance as well as for their health value. One of the principle components of amalgam composition is the liquid metal, mercury. Overexposure to mercury can have debilitating effects on humans. For this reason, Fine Dentistry Dental Studio has moved to provide amalgam-free treatment.

We have staff that is experienced and qualified in safe amalgam removal and disposal. We follow a strict protocol established by the International Academy of Oral Medicine and Toxicology to ensure the proper safety of both our patients and staff.
